President - The Right Reverend Philip Poole

The Rt. Rev. M. Philip Poole was consecrated Area Bishop of York-Credit Valley, Ontario, Canada, on February 5, 2005. Before becoming Bishop, he was rector of Trinity Church, Aurora, Ontario. His path to the priesthood took a circuitous route. Son of an Anglican priest, Philip early developed an interest in outreach and in international ministry--a "giving back to God," he has said. Deciding he was not ready for university immediately after high school, Poole went to work as a stock boy for a multi-national firm in Toronto and eventually went into sales training for the same company. He later enrolled in Wilfred Laurier University, earning a BA in music. His theological degrees are from Trinity College, University of Toronto. Before going to Trinity, Aurora, Poole served two other parishes and was chaplain at Trinity College School, Port Hope.
His wife Karen works in the public schools with children who have special challenges and they have two sons, both university students. Poole is a hockey and Canadian football fan, enjoys bridge and music.
First Vice President - The Reverend Peter D Koon

Peter Koon is the first vice president of the Compass Rose Society. Revd. Koon is the Priest-in-Charge for the Mandarin Congregation at St. John Cathedral in the diocese of Hong Kong Island, Hong Kong Sheng Kung Hui.
Second Vice President - The Very Reverend Sam Candler
Atlanta, GA
Sam Candler is Dean of the Cathedral of St. Philip, Atlanta, one of the largest Episcopal churches in the United States. A graduate of Occidental College, California, with a theology degree from Yale University, he has served in the Diocese of Atlanta except for the years 1993-98 when he was Dean of Trinity Cathedral, Columbia, South Carolina. He is vice president of the Episcopal Media Center and a member of the Board of Trustees of Berkeley Divinity School at Yale.
Treasurer - Robert (Bob) Biehl
Houston, TX
Bob Biehl serves as the treasurer of the Compass Rose Society and is president of EDOT Financial Services Corporation, established by the Diocese of Texas. He is a communicant of St. Martin's Church, Houston, Texas.
Secretary - Elliott Holman III
Anderson, SC
Elliott Holman serves as the secretary of the Compass Rose Society and is a business developer for Palmetto Insurance Company and is also a registered investment advisor with Family Legacy, Inc., of Greenville, South Carolina.
The Right Reverend Jon Bruno
Los Angeles, CA
John Bruno has been bishop of Los Angeles since 2002 and previously was coadjutor, and except for the years 1979-83, has served that diocese in a variety of positions, including parish priest, Provost of the Cathedral Center of St. Paul, and as stewardship and development officer for the diocese. Under his leadership, diocesan participation in the Compass Rose has increased, most recently hosting a dinner in Los Angeles to attract new members.
E. Thomas (Tom) Chaney
Houston, TX
Tom Chaney, now an investment manager in Houston, is the former co-chairman of Community Health Systems, Inc., a hospital management company he co-founded in 1985 and served as president and CEO until he retired in 1997. He is active in social service agencies, especially those pertaining to homeless persons. He and his wife Carol are regular participants in the Society's annual meetings and have been on numerous mission trips.
Joey Fan
Hong Kong
Joey Fan became a director of the Compass Rose Society in 2007. He is a member of St. Mary's Church in Hong Kong, which itself is a parish member of the Society. Joey is in the information technology business and helps design the new CRS website.
The Most Reverend Terence (Terry) Finlay
Toronto, ON, Canada
Terence Finlay is the son of an Anglican priest who served churches in Canada and New York City during his son's school years. Archbishop Finlay attended Western University and Huron College in London, Ontario, and was ordained priest and married in 1962. He and his wife Alice Jean (AJ) lived in England for some years where he earned a masters degree from Cambridge University in 1967.
After serving parishes in the dioceses of Huron and Toronto, he was installed as Tenth Bishop of Toronto in 1989 and in 2000 became Archbishop of Toronto and Metropolitan of the Ecclesiastical Province of Ontario. Among his interests are reconciliation and building good relations with other churches and with inter faith leaders.

John Rogers is president and CEO of Atlantic National Bank, and with his wife Mimi has been a member of Compass Rose since 1998. They are members of Christ Church, Frederica, which, under its former rector Doug Renegar, has produced more Society members than any other parish in the United States. Their son, Jarman, was an intern this past summer at St. Andrew's House. Elected to a second unexpired term, he will be eligible for re-election in 2005.
