New Members - St. Paul's, Bloor Street

By Joyce Badley, St. Paul's, Bloor Street
Apr. 9, 2011

St. Paul's Bloor Street is located in the heart of Toronto, Canada's largest City. As a large, diverse, and growing evangelical Church, St. Paul's is constantly reaching out in varied and creative ways. In the parish's 169 year history, St. Paul's has partnered to build bridges of understanding and outreach ministry in many parts of the world. One dynamic relationship is that between St. Paul's and the Anglican Diocese of Kaduna in the Church of Nigeria. Fostered through the personal friendship of Bp. Josiah Idowu-Fearon and the Rector of St. Paul's - the Rev. Canon Dr. Barry Parker - the work of reconciliation between Christians and Muslims in northern Nigeria, as well as economic rebuilding through the Jacaranda Farm project are ongoing.

The participation of St. Paul's in the Compass Rose Society allows the parish community to build friendships of interdependent Gospel service throughout the Anglican Communion as well as continue the support of the exciting ministry and work of Bp. Josiah, the Diocese of Kaduna and the Jacaranda Farm project.
