Board Surveys CRS Membership

Communication is important.

This is a message that members of the International and Canadian Boards of Directors of the Society have been hearing consistently over the past year.  Members want to know about the activities of the Compass Rose Society on a timely basis and they wish to know what opportunities exist for them to contribute to our various ministries.

The International Board has responded to this by surveying the membership.  In the most recent mailing, a survey card was included.  Communication Chair Connie Gray explains that there are at least two principle purposes behind this survey.

"We need to update our database of membership information", says Gray, noting that the Board cannot effectively communicate with members if the Society does not have accurate address and e-mail information.

She also explains, "The Board also would like to find the best way to communicate the kind of information our membership would like to receive".

About 20% of the survey cards were returned, providing an excellent start to this survey initiative.  In order to carry the task further, an online survey tool called "Survey Monkey" will be used in order to gather further information.
