COMPASS ROSE SOCIETY ANNOUNCES NEW APPOINTMENTS TO BOARD OF DIRECTORS
TORONTO, November 2, 2009 -- The Compass Rose Society of the Anglican
Communion, which provides annual financial support to the Archbishop of
Canterbury and the Anglican Consultative Council, today announced that
the Society elected the following members to its board of directors at
its annual meeting:
The Reverend Canon John Peterson, Hendersonville, NC; The Very Reverend
Dr. Michael Battle, San Gabriel, CA, and Beverly Patterson Wood,
Aurora, Ontario.
The Society's president, The Right Reverend Philip Poole, Bishop of
York-Credit Valley, Ontario, Canada said, "I thank our retiring board
members for their service and welcome those who have agreed to work
with us going forward as we strive to support the work of the Anglican
Communion and expand our membership throughout the Anglican world."
The new directors join these board members currently serving:
